St. Mary CYO
"Let's Go
Blue Knights !"
St. Mary Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) provides the youth grades 5 through 8
of our parish with an opportunity to participate in organized team sports, competing with other parishes in the Archdiocese in the following sports:
• Soccer
• Bowling
• Basketball
• Cheerleading
• Boys Baseball
• Girls Softball
(Children in lower grades may be eligible to play if there are openings)
"A cornerstone of our mission at St. Mary is to educate our young. We the members of St. Mary Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) commit our energy, resources, and love to provide an atmosphere whereby our young can experience the thrill of competition, understand the importance of teamwork, feel the pride and satisfaction in doing their best, learn the lessons in winning, and, just as important, learn the lessons in losing."
Our Mission Statement:
We accomplish this mission when our youth:
- Have fun
- Learn the fundamentals of the sport
- Are competitive, win or lose.
CYO Bottle and Can Drive
The CYO would like to thank you for participating in our monthly bottle and can drive.
The bottle and can drive has become an integral part of our fundraising and helps provide uniforms and equipment for our athletes. As a reminder, the bottle and can drive is the first weekend of each month. Please drop your bottles off at the rectory driveway either before or after mass. A CYO representative should be there. In the event that there is no person available to leave your bottles and cans with, please place them in the back of the parish pickup truck that will be located in the rectory driveway. Your participation and cooperation is greatly appreciated. Again, thank you!

ATTENTION!! IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING FEES STARTING 2011 / 2012 SEASONS:
In addition to the $35.00 player fee per sport, there will be a required participation of purchasing
(2) raffle tickets for St. Mary's 500 Club, per family, instead of (1) ticket per family, like in previous years. They are valued at $50.00 each. This increase is directly due to the fact that our largest fundraiser from previous years has dissolved, the Wayne Wheel Festival. Our organization had made profits of over $2500.00 on average for the last 3-4 years from the Wayne Wheel Festival and it is no longer in existence.
Each family that has athlete(s) playing sports for the CYO must pay for these tickets before their child can participate on any team. The raffle runs roughly from Oct - Sept with weekly drawings for a chance to win some of your $$ back. The best time to pay your fees is BEFORE the October start date. If youwould like to sell the (2) required tickets to family or friends, that is acceptable and
allowed. You may contact Theresa Formella, who is the coordinator for St.Mary's 500 Club, with any questions about the program. As always, thank you for your continued support of St. Mary's CYO!
